The zips have a smooth slider running and are available in a wide range of finishes. Opti LUX zips offer a superior aesthetic effect by comparison to normal metal, with the soft polyester yarns undergoing special treatment to deliver a tape with a supple cotton-like feel.
The recycled tape also helps support a common sustainability agenda for a cleaner planet.

Disclaimer
LUX teeth are made of brass which are treated to achieve the different finishes detailed below. For application in leather goods, a finish containing nickel is recommended. This is due to the rather aggressive tanning processes used in production; a preliminary test on the product is always recommended.
All LUX finishes, excluding gold nickel, titanium and pink gold, are compliant with 94/27/EC directive restricting the use of nickel for products coming into direct and prolonged contact with skin. There are no restrictions for home or dry cleaning.
Prior to bulk production, Coats Opti recommends that tests and trials are carried out on all zip uses/applications in order to verify that the product meets end customer requirements and the demands of internal processing conditions.
