Coats Hemseal™ Fusion is the first generation fusible low-melt thread from Coats.
It creates secure, flat and discreet seams, similar to bonded seams but without the need for special bonded seams technology. It can also be used to secure hems on lightweight fabrics.
Coats Hemseal Fusion is designed to be fed into the overedge machine together with a standard Coats sewing thread. Use Coats Hemseal Fusion in only one of the loopers of the serging operation.
Then turn the seam and secure by pressing with heat to activate the low melt component of the thread. The result is a clean, secure hem with no bulkiness / pressing mark on the front side of the fabric.
