Accueil • Industry FAQs • Why has the thread changed colour after the wash process?
  1. The wash process may have included bleach which depending on percentage used could change the shade of the thread. If bleach is to be used on garments it is suggested that bleach resistant threads are used.
  2. Back staining is a common issue in denim manufacturing. This can be visible when lighter contrast thread shades are used. An example is Indigo dyestuff for Jeans fabric which can contaminate the surface of the thread resulting back staining. To prevent this ensure the correct wash process is used.
