3 September 2019: Coats, the world’s leading industrial thread company and global supplier to the automotive composite industry, is exhibiting and presenting at this year’s Automotive Composites Conference and Exhibition (ACCE) in Michigan, US (Wednesday 4 – Friday 6 September). It is showcasing its new technologies engineered to combine performance with production efficiency and optimal weight reduction.
Probir Guha, VP of Global Composites Innovation, Coats, said: ‘Our innovative thermoplastic and thermoset technologies are creating the automotive solutions of the future, with capabilities to customise down to the smallest detail and we are excited to partner with OEM, and Tier 1 partners positioned at the forefront of the lightweight automotive composite revolution. The ACCE event enables us to educate and inform the entire automotive sector on the many transformations within the composite industry across the globe.’
The advent of both Synergex™ and Lattice™ now allows Coats to offer customers cost effective means to reduce weight by more significant levels than that of aluminum, magnesium and conventional carbon fibre and hybrid technologies. Coats will be exhibiting the full range of automotive composite solutions as well as presenting on the viable alternatives to manufacturing currently available and on the horizon for the automobile industry.
In April, Coats opened its Innovation Hub – EMEA in Bursa, Turkey following the recent opening of Innovation Hub – Asia in Shenzhen, China in March. Innovation Hub – America, the first of the series, opened in October 2018 in North Carolina, US. These three dedicated centres at key locations around the world enable Coats to collaborate with a range of innovation partners including customers, brands, suppliers, universities and start-ups.
