Why does colour migration occur?

What thread type do you recommend us to use when experiencing colour migration from upper material to sewing thread on contrast stitching? We realise that we have an issue with fastness of upper material.

We recommend the use of Super Lubricated products in conjunction with titanium nitride needle to minimise needle overheat.
