Coats Protos Ultrabloc is two to three times more water absorbent than other yarns of its kind, thanks to its unique coating. It also offers some of the lowest dusting and shedding in the fibre optic industry. This helps reduce machine downtime and improves cleanliness and safety during cable manufacture.

Protos Ultrabloc is a super absorbent, water-swellable coated para-aramid yarn for use in cable strength members and water-blocking binders.

Available in both standard modulus (Type A) and high modulus (Type B).
