Home • Industry FAQs • How can I prevent skipped stitching at the start on lockstitch machine
  1. Skipped stitching at the start on lockstitch machines could be as a result of the thread take-up spring too strong or the thread take-up spring operating range too large.
  2. Is the needle bar in the up position at the start?
  3. Is the length of thread trailing out from the bobbin too short?
  4. Are the threads being trimmed cleanly?
  5. Has the bobbin been wound correctly, does the bobbin case have a check spring or is the bobbin spinning after the machine has stopped and tangling the thread.
