Read moreFlame Retardancy in Textile Products
Flame retardancy in textile products depends on a complex interaction of variables, and thread and seam performances are highly dependent on other factors, including the type of fabric which is used. It is the responsibility of the thread users to satisfy themselves that the thread meets their particular fire retardant requirements when sewn into a finished product.
Since conditions and applications vary considerably in the use of a product, the customer and/or user should assure herself or himself that the product meets end customer requirements and is suitable for the intended end use.
For more robust heat and flame protection please refer to the Coats range of Performance Wear threads which are made from materials with inherent fire resistance properties.
