Coats Helios K is a para-aramid wrapped sewing thread that is specifically engineered for a variety of technical safety products.

The special steel core can withstand temperatures of approximately 400ºC under mechanical strain and up to 1000ºC without any mechanical strain. Helios K has been designed as a sewing thread for a broad range of technical textiles offering a superior level of temperature resistance. It has good sewing performance.

Coats Helios K sewing threads are suitable for use in heat and fire fighters’ protective clothing according to EN ISO 11612, EN ISO 14116 and EN 469. They are not suitable for use in protective clothing for electricians and welders as the relatively low vertical resistance (< 105 _) material cannot guarantee protection from the possibility of electrical shock by contact with live electric conductors.
