made from pre-stabilised continuous filament nylon 6.6 and is suitable for garment dye programmes with nylon fabrics.Aptan has controlled stretch characteristics and a soft, low friction finish which reduces the effects of needle heat and offers excellent abrasion resistance.
Features and Benefits
- Coats Aptan 6.6 nylon thread is 30% stronger than ordinary nylon thread. The higher strength to fineness ratio makes very fine seams possible in footwear and other applications.
- Compared with the typical apparel sewing threads made from polyester Aptan has higher strength and slightly higher elongation properties
- Treated with specially formulated lubricant, Coats Aptan offers excellent frictional characteristics during high speed sewing operations
