This leading development is one of the many positive actions taken by us to demonstrate our commitment to sustainability and safety. The threads have a PFC-free anti-wick finish which prevents the capillary action of water transportation through the thread in the seam.
Coats Epic AWF is a high-tech corespun thread that combines a high tenacity polyester filament core with a polyester fibre wrap to create to make a versatile and productive thread. The high strength polyester filament core provides excellent seam appearance and strength. It is specially lubricated to deliver outstanding sewing performance in the most demanding applications.
It has excellent abrasion resistance which helps you to achieve flexibility and durability in garment seams. The fibres on the surface of the thread help to “lock” the thread in the seam, limiting thread movement and helping to prevent runback.
Coats Epic AWF has a specially formulated finish to deliver a high degree of water resistance. We have made this globally available in an extensive range of colours.
