Coverseaming on Babywear may involve the following stitch types:

The recommendations in the table above apply to all of these stitch types.

The choice of which thread to use for top cover is determined by the appearance required. Popular top covering threads include; Gramax, Epic and Sylko.

On chainstitching operations such as split tube neck and sleeve binding (401×1) Gramax Tex 18 should be used in the chainstitch loopers.
